PROCREATE PROJECT IS HIRING Part-time Early Years Educator for the Mother House studio space

About the Mother House

The Mother House is the UK’s first flexible Artist Studio with integrated childcare, where children are invited into the workspace. The model aims to help mothers who are artists, creatives, freelancers and entrepreneurs, providing an inspiring space to allow them to continue working whilst nurturing engaged parenting.

The Mother House creates two interconnected spaces:
– Studio space for professional arts practice in the form of an open art studio. The space is organised in assigned sections that fit the needs of artists working in different mediums and forms.
– In-houses activities organised specifically for children, guided and supervised by a dedicated team.

The Mother House is looking for a part-time Educator to join our team during the Studio opening time (every Tuesday and Thursday from 9am to 5pm).
This is an excellent job opportunity for someone who is interested in working with children within an educational setting and an artistic environment.
Our educational team encourages children to use many languages to investigate and explore. We promote various ways of thinking,
discovering and learning. Through print, painting, drawing, sculpting and modelling, through dance and physical movement, through pretend play, music and playing with sounds, rhythm, rhyme. Each of these languages are valued and nurtured.
The space puts strong focus on social collaboration, working in groups, where each child is an equal participant, having their thoughts and questions valued.
With your excellent organisation and planning skills, experience in working with children and an unrivaled dedication to childcare you will provide a designed education programme that will meet The Mother House Educational Manifesto and mission.
As an Educator of the Mother House you will be responsible to facilitate the integration and exchange with the Mothers’ art practice and you will have the opportunity to experience a unique and inspiring network.
Apply by sending an email to info@procreateproject.com with your CV a cover letter (maximum 1 A4 page) specifying why your are the right person for this role and what’s your approach to children’s development by 5pm on the 20th of June.
