Paulina Kwietniewska is a painter focusing on emotional portrait. She approaches her subjects in a very individual way, making sure that the medium she chooses and colour palette reflect l’air of the person she’s portraying. She mainly works using watercolour, oil and printing paint and develops her practice respecting the medium’s nature. She has a strong interest in human emotions, such as melancholy, empathy (the co-feeling, as it’s called in other languages) and the sense of justice/injustice.
She likes contrasting portraits with abstract/landscape paintings and putting context into her art.
